When you are talking about a common occurrence, you use the simple present tense or the present continuous tense in the conditional clause and in the main clause.
- If a man looks at me, I am flattered.
- He never says a word unless he feels he's being threatened in some way.
- If a tap is dripping, it needs a new washer.
- If an advertisement conveys information which is false or misleading, the advertiser is committing an offence.
