1.174 adding modifiers

Sometimes you can indicate who or what you are referring to by putting a modifier between 'the' and the noun. The commonest type of modifiers are adjectives.

• This is the main bedroom.
• 'Somebody ought to have done it long ago,' remarked the fat man.

Sometimes you need to use more than one adjective.

• After the crossroads look out for the large white building.
