W: | Good morning, Mr. Brown, what's brought you here today? |
M: | Well, you see, doctor, I've been having these headaches. |
W: | Aha, and how long have they been bothering you? |
M: | Er.'Well, it must have been about three months now. |
W: | I see. And which part of your head is affected? |
M: | Well, it's right across the front here. |
W: | Can you describe the pain? |
M: | It's sort of a dull, dull and throbbing kind of pain. |
W: | I see, and does it come on at any particular time? |
M: | They're usually worse in the morning. I notice them when I wake up. |
W: | Mm. And is there anything that makes them a bit better? |
M: | Well, if lie down for a while, they go away, |
W: | Yes, and has there been anything else apart from these headaches? |
M: | Well, my wife says that I seem to be getting a bit deaf. |
W: | Oh? Well, Mr. Brown, I think at this stage I'll start by checking your ears. |
