In northwest California, along the coast and around the Klamath River, lived the Yurok, Karok, and Hupa Indians. These were the great salmon fishermen. They built redwood houses. They carved their great river boats with stone and bone adzes. They shaped elk antlers into beautiful spoons. Along the coast and river valleys reaching from Mt.
